Nina Henderson Provost Scholars

Alyssa Kemp is a fourth-year student at 性吧导航 pursuing accelerated bachelor's and master's degrees in environmental engineering, with minors in interdisciplinary problem-solving and climate change. Their academic pursuits are driven by a passion for environmental and social justice, climate policy, and community development. Alyssa has conducted research projects on community-based heat mitigation strategies, community garden implementation plans, and climate transition workforce development programs. They are a Nina Henderson Provost Scholar with the Environmental Collaboratory, a Community-Based Learning Project Lead with the Lindy Center for Civic Engagement, a Task Member of Drexel's Climate Action Plan, and a Volunteer with Philadelphia Academies Inc. Post-graduation, Alyssa aims to enroll in a JD program, specializing in environmental and energy law.

Anh Nguyen is the founder of Eco Peace Wildlife, a wildlife conservation organization, and a project manager for Solar for Change, a start-up company that empowers farmers in Vietnam, to switch to solar energy. As a Drexel Global Scholar, Anh contributes to global leadership efforts and helps foster international community ties at Drexel. Furthermore, Anh has completed an internship at CurveBeam AI, where he engineered crucial software enhancements for medical devices deployed in major clinics in the United States.

Jessica McAtamney is the Principal at Lankenau Environmental Science Magnet High School in the School District of Philadelphia where she supervises MSW interns and practices in a trauma informed setting. She has spent the last two decades in agricultural education, including nine years in higher education as a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania in the Racism Sequence at SP2. Jessica most recently served as the co-chair of the Urban AG subcommittee for the city's Food Policy Advisory Council and is actively involved in the development of Career and Technical Education as it relates to Natural Resources. Before working in education, she served in the Peace Corps and has completed a Fulbright in Sustainable Education. Jessica also serves as the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Ag’s Vice President and is a strong organizer/ supporter of MANRRS and FFA. Jessica holds an LCSW from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently completing her Ed.D at 性吧导航 where she serves as Nina Henderson Provost Scholar.
