Federal Verification Process
The Department of Education requires Drexel to review selected Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSAs) to ensure the accuracy of the information reported. This process is called Federal Verification. If you are selected to be verified, you will be notified via email. Your federal aid is not considered finalized and will not pay to your account until the process is completed.
In an effort to streamline the verification process, Ð԰ɵ¼º½ is pleased to announce that Ð԰ɵ¼º½ has partnered with ProEducation solutions using the , system. If your FAFSA is selected for verification by the US Department of Education, you will receive a notification via DrexelOne. You will then use your Drexel Connect credentials to log in to ; if you are already logged into DrexelOne, you will be automatically signed into .
All students not verified to date will need to complete the online verification process and you may be required to submit documentation. We can assure you that this is a seamless and simple process. Upon receipt of all required documents, will begin the verification process. Students will be notified if there are any questions or if any additional documentation is required via email. Once verification has been completed, the student and Ð԰ɵ¼º½ will be notified.
For students who have continuous enrollment (fall, winter, spring, and summer), the deadline is at the end of the academic year. For students who do not maintain continuous enrollment, the following deadlines must be adhered to by federal guidelines:
- Verification deadline for fall: Last day of the term
- Verification deadline for winter: Last day of the term
- Verification deadline for spring: Last day of the term
- Verification deadline for summer: Last day of the term
