A service animal, according to Ð԰ɵ¼º½, is defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks directly related to the owner/handler's disabilities. Individuals with disabilities are permitted to be accompanied by their service animals on all Ð԰ɵ¼º½ properties where the public is normally allowed to go. The Counseling Center thus, welcomes service animals.

Assistance animals, also known as Emotional Support Animals, are not allowed in the Counseling Center or other campus buildings with the exception of an On-Campus Housing Residence. The Counseling Center may ask the following questions: First, is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? Second, what work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
