Rebuilding Philly
Well before the pandemic, the city was struggling. But the pandemic set our racial economic equity gaps in stark relief — making clear the different worlds that white and Black and brown Americans live in. From this turmoil also sprang innovation and an expanded sense of opportunity. The Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation reached out to a diverse group of thinkers at Ð԰ɵ¼º½ to imagine a plan for economic recovery, racial equity, and a sustained resilience for Philadelphia.
The essays in this series are a snapshot of conversations growing out of the spring and summer of 2020, representing the beginning of the framing of a path forward. The series was published on a rolling schedule throughout 2021 on DrexelNow and on a select basis in The Inquirer.
